Installation of 350 clay pots, animal hair, video.
Sizes vary.
The Paranoia installation consists of 350 numbered ceramic objects partially stuffed with hair of various animals. The objects are randomly placed in irregular order on the floor in front of the wall where a video is shown with its subject matter correlative to the ceramic part of the installation. The rat in the video personifies paranoia as the reversive form of aggression: the animal is frightened of any signs of danger—the hair or fur of rat’s many enemies stuffed in the pots, are the embodiments of those signs.
